Proposition 45
Modifies Environmental Review for Certain Projects
What it says
Amends CEQA to expedite environmental review for specified 'essential' project categories including housing, transportation, water, health facilities, wildfire mitigation, educational facilities, broadband, and clean energy. Sets binding deadlines for agencies to complete environmental review and take required actions; allows expedited review limiting obligation to consider multiple project alternatives; establishes deadlines for filing and resolving lawsuits challenging approvals; limits evidence courts may consider and relief courts can order. Project applicants may choose new or existing procedures.
