Background

Warren Davidson is the incumbent U.S. Representative for Ohio's 8th Congressional District, first elected in 2016 as a Republican. He graduated from Sidney High School in 1989, earned a B.A. in American history from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1995, and later received an M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. 123

Before entering politics, Davidson served as an Army officer with assignments including The Old Guard, the 75th Ranger Regiment, and the 101st Airborne Division. He subsequently spent 15 years owning and operating manufacturing companies in Ohio. 1

Prior to his congressional service, Davidson served as a Concord Township trustee, a role the 2018 Congressional Directory lists as spanning 2004–2015. He has been reelected to represent Ohio's 8th Congressional District since first winning election in 2016. 23

Davidson is seeking reelection in the November 3, 2026 general election. He has been described as a Troy-area resident, though the House historical biography identifies Concord Township, Ohio, as his place of residence. 562
