OPB updates report: AI and data centers central issues in Hoyle vs. DeSpain rematch

An OPB report updated Oct. 10 described AI and data centers as central issues in the rematch between Rep. Val Hoyle and Republican Monique DeSpain. DeSpain's TV ad accused Hoyle of taking money from AI companies; Hoyle denied accepting direct contributions and called for federal 'clear guardrails.' The ad referenced ~$292,000 in independent spending by a pro-AI PAC during the primary, not direct contributions to Hoyle.
