Steven Welzer is the Green Party candidate for U.S. House District 3 (New Jersey) in the November 2026 general election. He is a retired computer technician who spent more than two decades providing tech support with the New Jersey Judiciary before retiring in 2008. He holds a Master's degree in Economics from Rutgers University (1983) and lives in East Windsor, New Jersey. 245

Welzer has been active in Green Party politics for nearly three decades. He helped found the Green Party of New Jersey in 1997 and served on the Green Party of the United States Steering Committee in 2012. He also serves on the editorial board of New Green Horizons. 2
