Shawn Harris is a Democratic candidate for Georgia's 14th Congressional District in the November 2026 election, facing Republican incumbent Clay Fuller. 214 Harris grew up in Blakely, Georgia, on his family's farm and now operates a grass-fed cattle farm in Rockmart with his wife. 2

Harris served in the Marine Corps and later the Army National Guard, retiring as a brigadier general after approximately 40 years of military service, according to his campaign. His career included service as an infantry commander in Afghanistan and leading a team during the 2014 Ebola outbreak in Liberia. 221 His education includes a BS in Agribusiness Education from Tuskegee University, an MS in Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University, and an MSS in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. 16

Harris previously ran for Georgia's 14th Congressional District in 2024 and in the April 2026 special-election runoff, which he lost to Clay Fuller. 1415 He holds no prior elected office. The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) endorsed him ahead of the 2026 statewide primary. 1
