Rick Larsen is the U.S. Representative for Washington's 2nd Congressional District, having served in the House since 2001. 1310 He was born and raised in Arlington, Washington, attended public schools there, and later graduated from Pacific Lutheran University before earning a Master of Public Administration from the University of Minnesota. 58

Before entering Congress, Larsen served on the Snohomish County Council and held positions as an economic-development official at the Port of Everett and as director of public affairs for a health-provider association (the Washington State Dental Association). 148 He is a Democrat representing a district centered on Everett and the northern Puget Sound region of Washington State. 310
