Background
Richard "Rick" W. Allen is the U.S. Representative for Georgia's 12th Congressional District, a seat he has held since January 2015 following his election in 2014. He is a Republican from Augusta, Georgia, where he was born and continues to reside. 13
Before entering Congress, Allen founded R.W. Allen & Associates, a construction company, at age 25 in 1976. He built the firm over several decades, serving as its founder and owner. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from Auburn University and graduated from Evans High School in Evans, Georgia, in 1969. 13
In Congress, Allen serves on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and the House Committee on Education and the Workforce. 1 He is seeking re-election in the November 3, 2026 general election for Georgia's 12th District. 2
