Mike Quigley is the Democratic U.S. representative for Illinois' 5th Congressional District, first elected in a special election in 2009 to fill the seat vacated by Rahm Emanuel. 13 He grew up in Carol Stream, Illinois, attending Glenbard North High School, and holds a B.A. from Roosevelt University (1981), an M.P.P. from the University of Chicago (1985), and a J.D. from Loyola University School of Law (1989). 3

Before his congressional career, Quigley worked as a legislative aide, practiced law for more than a decade, and taught as an adjunct professor at Loyola University Chicago and Roosevelt University. He also served on the Cook County Board of Commissioners from 1998 to 2009. 38
