Background
Mike Kennedy is a Republican U.S. Representative currently serving Utah's 3rd Congressional District, having been sworn in in January 2025. 12 After redistricting, he is the Republican candidate for Utah's newly drawn 4th Congressional District in the November 2026 general election. [7, 10]
Before his congressional service, Kennedy served in the Utah House of Representatives (2013–2019) and the Utah State Senate (2021–2025). 5 He holds a B.S. from Brigham Young University (1994), an M.D. from Michigan State University (1998), and a J.D. from Brigham Young University (2007), and worked as a family physician in Utah County for more than two decades as well as an attorney and small-business operator. [1, 2, 4]
Kennedy and his wife reside in Utah County; his campaign X profile lists Alpine, Utah as his location. [4, 14] His campaign is run under the banner "Mike Kennedy for Utah." 8
