Michael Ted Goldstein is a Republican challenger running for Connecticut's 4th Congressional District in the November 2026 general election, seeking to unseat incumbent Democratic Rep. Jim Himes. 1414 He is a board-certified ophthalmic surgeon and attorney who has practiced medicine for more than four decades in Connecticut and New York, and owns his own medical practice. 35 Goldstein earned a B.A. from Harpur College of Arts and Sciences (1970), an M.D. from SUNY Downstate (1974), and a J.D. from Pace University Law School (2006). 13 He has been a Greenwich, Connecticut resident since 1987, serves on Greenwich's Representative Town Meeting and its Health and Human Services Committee, and previously held leadership roles including president and board chair of the New York County Medical Society. 3923
