Michael Alfonso is the Republican nominee in Wisconsin's 7th Congressional District for the November 3, 2026, general election, an open seat vacated by Rep. Alfonso has never held elected office. 105 In March 2026, amid scrutiny over his work history, he disclosed that he was employed as an accountant for St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hayward, Wisconsin, a role the church described as part-time. 13 He is the son-in-law of former Rep. and Trump Cabinet member Sean Duffy. 45
