Mark
Lamb

Republican candidate for Arizona's 5th Congressional District; former Pinal County Sheriff (2017–2024)

Background

Mark Lamb is a Republican candidate for Arizona's 5th Congressional District in the November 3, 2026 election. He was born in Hawaii and grew up in Chandler, Arizona, graduating from Chandler High School in 1990. Before entering politics, he worked in various businesses—including paintball and pest and pigeon control—before becoming a police officer and detective. [3, 16, 12]

Lamb served as Pinal County Sheriff from 2017 through 2024, having first been elected to that office in 2016. His campaign materials describe him as a "retired sheriff" and emphasize themes of border security, constitutional rights, and faith. [2, 3, 13]

In the 2026 congressional race, Lamb is seeking to represent Arizona's 5th District, where incumbent Andy Biggs is not seeking reelection. He has received endorsements from organizations including Turning Point Action. [8, 9, 13]

Lamb's campaign platform centers on what he calls "God, Family, Freedom," and he has made immigration enforcement, budget restraint, and election integrity key issues. [1, 2, 17, 19]
