Joe
Tache

Party for Socialism and Liberation candidate challenging Sen. Ed Markey in the 2026 Massachusetts U.S. Senate race

Background

Joe Tache is a Boston-based youth worker and community organizer running as the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) candidate in the November 2026 U.S. Senate race in Massachusetts, challenging incumbent Democratic Senator Ed Markey. 123

Tache enrolled as a business major at Northeastern University in 2013 and graduated from college in 2018, the same year he joined the PSL. After graduating, he worked as a HiSET instructor and mentor for first-generation college students, later running an after-school and summer program for high school students focused on workers' rights. 315

He has also served as a volunteer and, from 2022 to 2024, a staffer at the Boston Liberation Center. His campaign describes this as his first run for public office. 37 He has lived in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. 3

Tache's campaign centers on what he describes as confronting the "crisis of capitalism," opposing the two-party system, and advocating for the working class. 248
