Hurd

Republican U.S. Rep. Jeff Hurd of Grand Junction seeks reelection to Colorado's 3rd Congressional District in 2026.

Background

Jeff Hurd is a Republican U.S. Representative serving Colorado's 3rd Congressional District in the 119th Congress (2025–present). He grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado, attended the University of Notre Dame, and later earned law degrees from the University of Denver and Columbia Law School. 23

Before entering Congress, Hurd clerked for federal appeals court judge Timothy M. Tymkovich, then practiced at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York City before returning to western Colorado. There he built a law practice serving rural communities, including rural electric cooperatives, counties, school districts, fire districts, and broadband providers. 32

Hurd is seeking reelection in the November 2026 general election for Colorado's 3rd Congressional District, facing Democrat Dwayne Romero. 716
