Greggory
D Hull

Republican nominee for New Mexico Governor in 2026; former longest-serving mayor of Rio Rancho (2014–2026)

Background

Greggory "Gregg" D. Hull is the Republican nominee for Governor of New Mexico in the November 2026 election. A resident of Rio Rancho, he settled in the area in the mid-1990s and previously owned and operated Certified Packing and Crating, an Albuquerque business, for approximately 12 years before entering politics. [2, 26, 27]

Hull served as Mayor of Rio Rancho from 2014 to 2026, winning reelection in 2018 and 2022, making him the city's longest-serving mayor. He stepped down from the mayoralty in April 2026 to focus on his gubernatorial campaign. [17, 18, 19]

Hull won the Republican primary for governor on June 2, 2026, and is running alongside a lieutenant governor pick named Gallegos, per his campaign website. His education includes a diploma from Pagosa Springs High School; the Albuquerque Journal has reported he did not graduate from college. [6, 14, 26, 27]
