Casar

Democratic U.S. Rep. Greg Casar (TX-35) is running for Texas's newly drawn 37th Congressional District in 2026.

Background

Greg Casar is a Democratic U.S. representative from Texas, serving the 35th Congressional District since January 3, 2023. 13 Born in Houston, Texas, he attended Strake Jesuit College Preparatory (2007) and earned a B.A. from the University of Virginia in 2011. 1

In Congress, Casar has focused on labor rights, voting rights, and progressive policy. In January 2025, he was appointed to a committee role connected to his background as a former labor organizer. 7 He is not the incumbent for Texas's 37th Congressional District but is running to represent TX-37 in the November 3, 2026 general election following redistricting. 813
