Background
Chris Gober is the Republican nominee for Texas's 10th Congressional District in the November 2026 general election, seeking what would be his first elected office. 39 He was born and raised in Throckmorton and Graham, Texas, attended Texas A&M University (Class of 2001), and earned his law degree from Harvard Law School. 2
Before the campaign, Gober worked on national-security and border-security matters at the U.S. Department of Justice, and later served as general counsel for the Republican Party of Texas. 23 In 2024, he served as director and chief lawyer of Elon Musk's America PAC. 25 He is also identified as the founding partner and CEO of Lex Politica, a political and election-law practice. 5
