Chris Getty is an independent candidate running for the U.S. House of Representatives in Illinois' 4th Congressional District in the November 3, 2026 election, seeking the seat being vacated by incumbent Rep. Jesús "Chuy" García. 123
Getty was born and raised in Lyons, Illinois, and attended Morton West High School and Eastern Illinois University. He is a licensed insurance producer who operates a family-owned insurance agency in Lyons. 18
He has served as Mayor of Lyons since 2009 and as Lyons Township Supervisor since 2017, making him one of the longer-serving local elected officials in the area. 7815
