Maloy

Republican U.S. Rep. Celeste Maloy represents Utah's 2nd District and is running for the redrawn 3rd District in 2026.

Background

Celeste Maloy is a Republican U.S. Representative from Utah, first elected to Congress in a 2023 special election to fill the seat vacated by Chris Stewart, for whom she had previously served as chief legal counsel. 12 She was born in Cedar City, Utah, raised in Hiko, Nevada, and lives in Southern Utah. 115 Before entering politics, she worked as a soil conservationist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (2001–2012), then earned a J.D. from BYU's J. Reuben Clark Law School (2015) and practiced as a deputy attorney for Washington County and attorney for the Utah Association of Counties and Washington County Water Conservancy District. 2

Maloy won reelection in 2024 representing Utah's 2nd Congressional District. Following redistricting, she filed in 2026 to run for the newly drawn Utah 3rd Congressional District seat. 4713 She is considered an incumbent member of Congress but is not the sitting representative for District 3. 1410
