Background
Casey Askar is the Republican nominee for Florida's 22nd Congressional District in the November 3, 2026 general election. He won the August 18 Republican primary with 14,774 votes in a seven-candidate field. The seat is open, and Askar does not currently hold elected office. [Sources 9, 17]
Askar is a businessman who serves as chairman and CEO of Askar Family Office, which his campaign describes as active in franchising, commercial real estate, energy, and construction. His campaign notes that he began his working life at McDonald's and CVS and later served in the U.S. Marine Corps. The Palm Beach Post describes him as a Naples-based franchise businessman.
