Vermont's U.S. Senator Peter Welch and U.S. Representative Becca Balint endorsed Janoo for governor, according to CT Public's Oct. 7 report.

VTDigger analyzed the conflicting UNH and Vermont Public polls, noting differences in sampling and methodology and that Vermont Public's poll had far more undecided respondents, while observing that polls have historically underestimated Scott.

VTDigger reported that the DGA had recently directed $40,000 to a political action committee that could increase outside spending in support of Janoo's campaign, as PAC money began flowing into the race.

U.S. Rep. Ro Khanna endorsed Janoo at a campaign event in White River Junction. Gov. Scott responded that he would prefer the endorsement of an apple farmer to that of a longtime Washington politician.

VTDigger reported on Janoo's proposal to use new tax revenue to make primary and preventive care available to all Vermont residents at no charge regardless of insurance, examining implementation and funding questions.

Janoo hosted a town hall event in Brattleboro, where she also gained the Bernie Sanders endorsement, according to the Brattleboro Reformer.

Sen. Bernie Sanders endorsed Janoo, citing her proposals for free primary and preventive care, universal health care, second-home taxes, and a moratorium on AI data centers.

VTDigger reported Janoo's plans for a 2% income-tax surcharge on income over $250,000, an 8% surcharge on income over $500,000, higher taxes on certain second homes, and a digital-advertising tax on large tech companies, with some details still unresolved.

Janoo made a campaign stop in Lamoille County, continuing her effort to campaign across Vermont ahead of the November general election.

Campaign finance filings showed Janoo raised about $291,000 in September, spent about $70,000, and had roughly $280,000 cash on hand. Her total cycle fundraising reached about $706,000, more than twice Scott's individual-donor total.

A Vermont Public poll conducted Sept. 10–21 of 817 respondents found Scott ahead 44% to 34% among likely voters, with 16% undecided, contrasting sharply with the UNH survey released days earlier.

The University of New Hampshire Survey Center found Janoo ahead of Scott by six points among 835 likely voters surveyed Sept. 17–21, but characterized the result as a statistical tie within the poll's 3.3-point margin of error.

The official Aug. 17 canvass reported Janoo received 39,614 votes to Richards's 37,570, securing the Democratic nomination to challenge incumbent Gov. Phil Scott.
