Background

Aaron Flint is a Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Montana's 1st Congressional District, with the general election scheduled for November 3, 2026. He won the Republican primary on June 2, 2026. 913

Flint spent much of his career in broadcast journalism and radio, working as a reporter and producer at KTVQ from 2006 to 2008, and as a statewide radio talk-show host with the Northern Broadcasting System (2009–2015) and Townsquare Media (2018–March 2026). He also hosted the Montana Talks program. 2519

Before and alongside his media career, Flint held several political staff roles, including serving as a legislative aide to Senator Conrad Burns, communications director for Greg Gianforte's 2016 campaign, and state director for Congressman Ryan Zinke. He also served as an Army National Guard and Reserve officer from 2002 to 2024, reaching the rank of lieutenant colonel. 457

Flint grew up in Glasgow and the Flathead Valley in Montana and studied broadcast journalism at Howard University (1998–2000) and the University of Montana, where he earned a B.A. in 2004. 24
